This new carabiner represents the latest in the evolution of the Omegalite series. Now in it's fifth generation, Omega answered climbers' needs for a carabiner that fits well in the hand, has a huge gate opening, and features a rope-friendly True Radius. Once again, Omega utilized their exclusive process known as ISO Cold Forging to build a hot-forged design at a reasonable, cold-forged cost.The Five-O frame is versatile and tractable. It is functional in any of your favorite gate configurations: straight, bent, locking or wire ... whatever your preference is, the Five-O fits the bill. It's large enough that you can work routes with it; grab the bottom carabiner on a draw and you can still clip your cord. For Ice Climbing, even bulky gloves don't inhibit your ability to clip it.
